New

Admins can now archive completed or inactive goals to keep active planning focused and reporting clean.

You can now archive goals once they’re complete or no longer relevant. Archiving removes goals from active workflows while preserving historical data for reporting and reference. This makes it easier to stay focused on current priorities without losing visibility into past progress.

Improved

We’ve introduced a new option that allows users to choose which group owns an expense when it’s tied to a co-hosted event.

Previously, expenses automatically defaulted to the host group of an event, which made it difficult for co-host groups to submit or manage shared expenses. With this update, users will now see an additional dropdown to select the expense owner from any group that co-hosted the event.

This enhancement provides greater flexibility and accuracy when tracking shared costs across multiple groups, making collaboration and budgeting smoother than ever.

Fixed

We’ve fixed several issues to improve accuracy and consistency across events, budgets, and membership tracking:

  • Event Dropdown in Budget Requests 💰
Fixed an issue where events were not displaying consistently in the dropdown list when leads were adding budget expenses. The list now shows all relevant events as expected.

  • New Members This Week Count 👥
Resolved a bug that caused the “New Members This Week” metric in the membership overview to stop updating. Counts now refresh accurately.

  • Custom Event Invite Groups ✉️
Fixed an issue preventing users from creating custom groups of invitees for events. Custom invite lists now save and function properly.

These fixes ensure more reliable event management, reporting, and membership tracking across the platform. ✅

New

We’ve added a new option that gives admins and group leads more control over new member notifications.

Now, when adding someone to a group, you’ll see a “Notify this member” checkbox. It’s checked by default, but if you uncheck it, Chezie will skip sending the automatic “You’ve been added to a group” email.

This update provides more flexibility—perfect for situations where you want to quietly manage group membership without triggering email notifications.

We’ve resolved several issues to improve functionality and reliability across events, budgets, emails, and surveys:

  • Event Edits Not Saving ✏️
Fixed a bug that prevented group leads from saving edits made to events. Updates will now save properly.

  • New Lead Notification Email Link 🔗
Updated the link in new lead notification emails so it now directs to the correct resource: The Complete Guide to Customizing Your Group in Chezie.

  • Budget Approvals 💰
Fixed an issue where items submitted for approval were remaining in draft status in admin view. They now correctly move into pending approval.

  • Survey Link Access 📋
Resolved a bug that blocked survey links if the user wasn’t logged into Chezie. Surveys are now accessible regardless of login status.

These fixes ensure smoother workflows and better accessibility across the platform. ✅

Improved

We updated the expense export to now include both the Created Date and the Purchase Date fields. This ensures exports capture a more complete record of each expense.

August 14th, 2025

We’ve added new tracking for event approvals so you can see who approved an event and when it was approved—right from the event overview page.

This update adds greater transparency and accountability to your approval process, making it easier to confirm event status and track decision-making history.

August 12th, 2025

New

We’ve added a search bar to custom event invite lists, making it much easier to find and add specific people when creating a custom group for your event.

Instead of scrolling through long lists, you can now simply type a name, instantly filter the results, and select the person you need. Once you clear the search, the full list reappears with your selections intact.

This improvement gives admins and group leads a faster, more precise way to build invite lists—perfect for large organizations or events with specific attendee requirements.

New

You can now approve an event without triggering email invitations.

This is perfect for admins or group leads who want to track internal events or log past programming in Chezie without notifying members. Whether you're using Chezie to record attendance, assign expenses, or connect an event to a goal, this feature gives you more flexibility—no inbox clutter required.

Fixed

We’ve pushed a fix for an app-wide bug that caused member counts to appear incorrectly/inaccurately in the reporting views.

We believe this was a by-product of the reporting overview updates that we made last week. We apologize for any issues this has caused.
